Galyatető

Galyatető is about 30 minutes away and offers a breathtaking panorama for those who visit. Galyatető is a nationally renowned high-altitude resort in the Mátra mountains, located in the Mátraszentimre district. It is situated on the southern side of Hungary’s third-highest peak, the 964-meter-high Galya-tető, from which it takes its name. In the winter, it is the perfect spot for sledding and winter sports, while in the other seasons, it is an excellent hiking destination. Galyatető is accessible via several hiking trails, including the National Blue Trail, and the view from the Galya Lookout offers a stunning panorama of the entire Mátra mountain range.
