Hollókő
A popular destination in the region is Hollókő, Hungary’s only village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, known worldwide. Located in the Cserhát Mountains, in the central part of Nógrád County, southeast of Szécsény and northeast of Pásztó, Hollókő is home to a village of only a few hundred residents. Its Old Village is part of the World Heritage site. The village is accessible by road from Szécsény or by taking the 2122 side road off the 21st main road before reaching Pásztó.
