The Mátraszentistván Ski Park is located in the Upper Mátra, nestled among the highest mountain villages in the country, just 6 km from Galyatető and less than 100 km from Budapest. The ski resort begins at the large parking lot of Sztepán-rét, across from the Church of the Three Villages, and descends along the northern-northwestern side of Rubonya Hill (821 m). Skiing is available for approximately 50-90 days a year. The resort focuses on family skiing, offering slopes ranging from beginner-friendly blue runs to challenging black ones. Among them is one of the steepest ski slopes in the Mátra. The gentle ski area also features a ski kindergarten with a beginner’s lift.

Siberian pine huts have been built, along with a terraced log buffet and restaurant (hütte) to serve guests on the slopes. The Ski Park is worth visiting year-round for its natural beauty, including wildflower meadows, well-maintained springs, and panoramic views.
