Sástó

Sástó is also an excellent destination for a family outing. Located in the Central Mátra, it is Hungary’s highest lake, sitting at 510 meters, not far from Kékestető to the south. Around the artificial lake, a small resort village has formed, making it a fantastic romantic weekend getaway. It is a great spot for boating and fishing, and there’s even a 50-meter-high lookout tower at the lake’s edge. The Oxygen Adrenalin Park, a favorite for both children and adults, is also located here, offering a variety of exciting activities.
